Hospice is a medical service for someone with an incurable illness that assists them to live as well as possible for as long as possible, while also increasing their quality of life. We strive for comfort and quality of life for each patient we serve. We do this through open and honest communication and coordination of care with the patient and their family. Hospice provides expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support expressly tailored to each patient’s needs and wishes, as well as support to the patient’s family. In most cases, care is provided in the patient’s home but may also be provided in freestanding hospice facilities, hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and other long-term care facilities. Hospice services are available to patients with any terminal illness and of any age, religion, or race.
